Calkain Cos. opens a new office in Fort Lauderdale
- March 6, 2012
Calkain Cos., based in Washington D.C., is expanding its presence in the Sunshine State. After using an office in Tampa, Fla., as its Southeast headquarters, the company said increasing asset demand and a larger volume of international investors has prompted it to open another office in Fort Lauderdale. Patrick Nutt, Calkain’s managing director, is relocating from Tampa to open the new location.
Joining Nutt in the new office will be Michael Zimmerman, a vice-president with Calkain in Florida. “The tri-county area covering Palm Beach to Fort Lauderdale and Miami creates an MSA the size of Washington D.C., and demands a pricing premium similar to other primary markets,” Zimmerman said in a statement. The area also serves as a major point of arrival for international investors.
Calkain is a full service real estate brokerage with a national scope focusing on single and multitenant retail, industrial, hotel and office net-leased transactions. In addition to its Florida locations, Calkain has offices in Reston, Wilmington, Del., and Boston.
