Bon Secours Richmond Health System and VCU Health System make top list
- March 2, 2010
Two Virginia nonprofits are among the country’s top companies for executive women. The National Association for Female Executives (NAFE) named Bon Secours Richmond Health System and VCU Health System in Richmond today when releasing its annual list of Top Non-Profit Companies and Top 50 Companies for Executive Women.
To make the list, companies had to have at least two women on their boards and track women in profit and loss jobs.
“While we measure the programs and the policies that companies implement, we are also measuring results,” Carol Evans, NAFE CEO, said in a statement. “… Effort is essential, but it’s representation that counts for NAFE’s top companies.” According to the association, the number of women responsible for running profit and loss operations at NAFE’s top companies has reached 26 percent, more than the 11 percent at Fortune 500 companies as reported by Catalyst, a women’s research organization in New York.
