Babcock & Wilcox receives contracts worth $82 million

A Babcock & Wilcox Co. subsidiary has received two contracts worth $82 million with the U.S. Naval Reactors Program.

Babcock & Wilcox Nuclear Operations Group Inc. will manufacture steam generating components and provide disassembly and recovery for highly enriched materials.

“B&W NOG is pleased to continue its support of U.S. defense programs with these additional contracts,” Peyton S. Baker, resident of B&W NOG, said in a statement. “We realize the important role that B&W NOG’s unique nuclear manufacturing and processing capabilities play in our nation’s security, and are committed to providing reliable propulsion products as well as specialized nuclear materials services.”
