AT&T to hire 20 people as part of a regional hiring blitz
- August 6, 2012
As part of a regional hiring blitz to accommodate business growth, AT&T said Monday that it is hiring for 20 full-time positions across the state. Ten of the positions will be filled in the Richmond metro area. The company said that the retail consultants’ jobs will offer hourly wages of $11.13 to $11.62, with medical and dental benefits, opportunities for commission, and tuition reimbursement.
It plans to have the new hires on board before mid-September, when it will begin a one-month training class. In fact, it said in a press release that job seekers should apply online by Aug. 8, with interviews planned for Aug. 14 and 15.
As of Monday, a spokesman for AT&T said the company had about 157 Virginia-based job openings, aside from the new hiring blitz, that include retail, management and technical positions.
