- June 17, 2010
AT&T has activated two new 3g cell sites in Suffolk as part of its continuing efforts to extend its wireless network in Virginia. The sites will enhance coverage for area residents and businesses that want faster speeds for downloading files and using the latest in interactive mobile communications.
From 2007 to 2009, AT&T has invested nearly $600 million in capital investment in its Virginia wireless and wire line networks. “During the past several years, we’ve made substantial private investments to provide our customers in the Hampton Roads area and across Virginia with access to the kind of technology that will stimulate economic growth, inspire innovation and create jobs,” J. Michael Schneider, president, AT&T Mid-Atlantic, said in a statement.
