Dominion Resources Inc., a Richmond-based energy
company, sold two of its natural gas holdings to Equitable
Resources, a Pittsburgh
natural gas distributor for $970 million. Included
in the deal were Dominion Peoples of Pittsburgh
and Dominion Hope in Clarksburg, W.Va. (Richmond

General Dynamics Inc. of Falls
Church, a defense contractor and technology company,
sold its Chicago-based subsidiary, Material Service
Corp., to Hanson Aggregates North America, a unit
of Hanson PLC of London,
for $300 million. MSC mines sand, stone, gravel and
