AES to acquire DPL Inc. in $4.7 billion deal

VCU, Virginia Tech receive major donations

James W. McGlothlin, founder of The United Co. in Bristol, and his wife, Frances, announced in April a $25 million gift to Virginia Commonwealth University and Virginia Tech recently received a total of $45 million for its engineering school.
