A tea and coffee supplier will spend $40.1 million in Virginia to open a roasting facility, creating 85 jobs.
Mother Parkers Tea & Coffee Inc., a company based in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada, will roast and package coffee for retail and food service industries at the facility, as well as create flavored coffees, infused coffees and iced and hot-tea products.
Hanover’s proximity to the Port of Virginia and the commonwealth’s business-friendly climate were primary reasons it chose to open a facility in Hanover, Mother Parkers’ CEO said in a statement.
