Inova Fair Oaks Hospital in Fairfax broke ground Friday on a $31 million project that will house an oncology cancer center. The 10,000-square-foot center will be located in a new 115,000-square-foot-office medical office building. Besides the oncology/radiation imaging center, the building will include space for physician offices and resources for cancer patients and families, including classes and support groups.
The project should be complete by late 2013. The general contractor is Suffolk Construction Mid-Atlantic, which will pursue a LEED silver certification for the building.
