Westgate Center gets green light from Stafford County

The Stafford County Board of Supervisors has approved a rezoning for the long-awaited Westgate Center, a mixed-use development that could bring more than 50 homes, two hotels, office and retail space near the Courthouse Road interchange with Interstate 95. According to the Fredericksburg Free Lance-Star, as much as 645,000 square feet of commercial space could be built. Proffers for the rezoning included $2.4 million in cash to the county.
