Global financial leaders will discuss the world’s economic concerns at a September summit at the University of Virginia.
Former U.S. Treasury Secretary John W. Snow will moderate the event, which will include former top financial ministers from the U.S., Europe, Asia, Middle East, South America and Africa.
The conference’s goal is to design a blueprint for how to solve some shared economic problems, such as the subprime mortgage? crisis and rising fuel and food costs. The meeting also will also cover changes in economic influence, sovereign wealth funds, global financial security and reforms of international financial institutions, such as the International Monetary Fund.
The conference will be held at the Miller Center of Public Affairs Sept. 7 through Sept. 9. CNBC will televise the event.
