Sentara Healthcare renews for 71,249 square feet in Chesapeake

Sentara Healthcare has signed an early renewal lease at the Crossways Commerce Center in Chesapeake. According to building owner, First Potomac Realty Trust, Sentara will occupy 71,249 square feet at the complex for a new 10-year term, maintaining the building’s100-percent occupancy. It’s located at 1441 Crossways Blvd.

A not-for-profit integrated health-care system, Sentara operates more than 100 sites serving residents across Virginia and northeastern North Carolina. It occupies more than 280,000 square feet throughout First Potomac’s Southern Virginia portfolio.

Mark Warlick of S.L. Nusbaum Realty Co. in Norfolk represented Sentara Healthcare, while Perry Frazer and Matt Wilbricht of CBRE represented First Potomac. “Extending our partnership with an industry-leading company such as Sentara is a tremendous win for our Hampton Roads portfolio,” said Tony Beck, regional vice president of First Potomac Realty Trust, based in Bethesda, Md. 
Overall, First Potomac’s 1.1 million-square-foot portfolio in Crossways Commerce Center is 94-percent leased.
