Raging Wire opens a second data center in Ashburn
August 06, 2012 8:07 AMRagingWire, a Sacramento-based data center builder and operator, has opened its second location in Ashburn.
The 150,000-square-foot center offers 70,000 square feet of raised floor space and client amenities such as a lobby, conference rooms and drop-in work spaces. Security measures at the $40 million project include iris scanners with visual and voice confirmations, and a security portal at the entrance. DreamHost, a Los Angeles web hosting facility, has signed a lease as the anchor tenant at RagingWire’s first East Coast facility. About 400 politicians, business leaders and industry executives gathered at the facility last week for a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
