Port privatization study approved
March 07, 2008 9:06 AMGeneral Assembly has approved forming a committee to study privatization of the Port of Virginia.
The committee will be made up of eight state legislators and nine businessmen from the maritime community.
The $27,200 study will also look at whether the state’s roads and rail are ready for adequate for port growth.
The study would be completed by 2009.
