Mooyah Burgers is coming to the Short Pump area of Henrico County. The new 2,250-square-foot restaurant will be located at the corner of Lauderdale Drive and West Broad Street. It will open in early 2013.
Local franchise owners, brothers P2 and Gulu Sandhu, already have one location in Virginia in Williamsburg at 249 Richmond Road, which has been open for a few months.
They plan to open 25 more restaurants in the next 10 years in Virginia, Maryland and Washington, D. C.
Mooyah is known for its fresh burgers and buns, hand-cut French fries and thick shakes. The Frisco,Texas-based chain began franchising operations in 2007 and plans to have 50 restaurants either open or in development by the end of the year. The only other Mooyah location in Virginia is in Williamsburg.
