A 137-room, six-story Hyatt Place should be up and running by summer 2013 at the Shops at Stonefield, a mixed-use project under development in Albemarle County.
Richmond-based developer Macfarlane Partners told the Daily Progress newspaper in Charlottesville that the hotel will serve as one of the anchor elements of the development, located at U.S. 29 and Hydraulic Road.
The 86,000-square-foot hotel will offer an indoor pool, outdoor patio and terraced dining area as well as meeting space for about 200 people. It will be located among a variety of retail stores and restaurants and next to a 14-screen movie theater. The first stores at Stonefield are expected to open this fall, with a second round of stores likely to open by summer of 2013.
