Groundbreaking set for Thursday on long awaited Northgate project in Falls Church
July 11, 2011 11:46 AMA groundbreaking ceremony will be held Thursday, July 14, for the $50 million, mixed-use Northgate development in Falls Church. The Hekemian & Co. project, located at the northern gateway to the city, will include 23,000 square feet of retail, 14,000 square feet of office, 95 apartments and 10 townhomes. Northgate is close to both the Orange and Silver line metro station and received city approval in 2007. Construction is expected to be completed by 2013.
