A big, empty warehouse in the S.T. Holland Intermodal Park in Isle of Wight County has snagged a buyer. Green Mountain Coffee Roasters Inc. plans to open a production and distribution facility in a 330,000-square-foot speculative building that South Carolina-based Johnson Development built in 2007. The Vermont-based specialty coffee company has agreed to purchase the building on 64 acres to house operations for its single-serve portion packs for Keurig brewing systems. The company said it will invest $180 million during the facility’s first five years, and it expects the operation to create 800 new jobs. It’s also getting a $4 million grant from the Governor’s Opportunity Fund.
