Fairfax County to gain nearly 800 jobs

In the second quarter, the Fairfax County Economic Development Authority (FCEDA) worked with 33 businesses that are expected to add nearly 800 jobs in the county.

Most of the companies are in information technology and professional services sectors, and four are foreign-based businesses using a Fairfax site to expand in North America.

One of the most prominent announcements during the quarter came from Engility, a government services company that established its headquarters in the Chantilly area after spinning off from L-3 Communications. Engility will add 50 jobs in addition to its current work force of 300.

Also adding jobs in Chantilly is NMR Consulting, one of the largest Hispanic-owned companies in the nation.  It work force will rise by 120 jobs

Kaztronix, a staffing company that specializes in the health care, scientific, technology and telecommunications sectors,  is creating 57 jobs in the Tysons Corner area.
