Dollar Deals store opens in Chesapeake
September 24, 2012 9:18 AMChesapeake-based Dollar Tree Inc., the national retail chain known for its dollar stores, has opened its first Dollar Deals store in Chesapeake. The 12,000-square-foot store at 1989 S. Military Highway offers a variety of national and private-label brands at multi-price-points, as opposed to just $1 items.
Dollar Tree operates 4,451 retail stores throughout North America and 180 are Deal Stores. In Chesapeake, there are nine retail stores which include new concepts like Dollar Tree Market and the new Deal Store. Dollar Tree’s corporate headquarters is located in the Greenbrier section of Chesapeake and employs more than 800 people.
