CoStar Group reports that Macerich, the owner and master developer of Tysons Corner Center in McLean, together with Alaska Permanent Fund Corp., have announced third-party agreements with three development companies to manage a massive, mixed-use project at Northern Virginia’s largest commercial center.
Woodbine Development Corp., Kettler and Hines Interests will manage 1.4 million square feet in apartments, a hotel, and an office tower.
Hines will oversee development of the 22-story, 524,000-square-foot Tysons Tower, the only office building in Tysons with a dedicated Metrorail station.
Kettler will develop and manage a 28-story, 395-unit apartment complex. Woodbine plans to build a 310-room, four-star hotel.
The $500 million project, which broke ground last week, is located next to the Tysons Corner Center shopping mall.
