Two additional tenants have signed leases at Deep Run III in Henrico County, the former headquarters facility for Circuit City.

Cushman & Wakefield | Thalhimer said the newest tenants are Acision LLC, a mobile messaging company that leased 16,472 square feet, and Appendix R Solutions, which provides fire protection engineering services to the nuclear power industry. It took 14,729 square feet. Both companies will occupy space on the third floor.

The six-story building at 9954 Mayland Drive has been undergoing renovations.  Digital Benefit Advisors will be the first tenant to move into the building in August occupying about 13,057 square feet.  Soon to follow will be Essex Bank, which will relocate its headquarters to Deep Run III, occupying 25,375 square feet on the first and second floors.

Travelers Insurance also has signed on for 71,817 square feet on the sixth floor and a portion of the fifth floor.

With three other leases pending, the building’s owner, DR III LLC,  anticipates Deep Run III to be 40 percent to 45 percent committed by the end of summer 2013.

The 348,174 square-foot facility just off West Broad Street is Richmond’s largest multitenant suburban office building. Besides a multimillion dollar renovation, DRIII has begun construction on a 784-car parking deck that will increase parking to about 1,689 spaces.

Thalhimer represented all parties in the two recent lease transactions.  Brian K. Berkey and Austin H. Newman represented tenants Acision and Appendix R.  Newman and Mark E. Douglas represents the landlord, DR III LLC.
