Danville gets its first downtown art gallery
June 01, 2011 9:52 AM

Dan River Art Works (DRAW) will open this weekend as downtown Danville’s first art gallery.

DRAW will offer artists’ studies for rent and provide classroom space for art classes.

The downtown gallery is the result of a partnership involving Danville’s Office of Economic Development, local artist Jeffrey Seiden and his brother-in-law, local businessman Jason Liepe.

DRAW qualified for a Downtown Danville Enhancement grant, which targets businesses locating in the Downtown or Tobacco Warehouse historic districts.
