Colorado company to manage Lansdowne Resort

Destination Hotels & Resorts will manage the 296-room Lansdowne Resort near Leesburg.

Destination Hotels & Resorts, based in Englewood, Colo., is the third largest hospitality management company in the U.S. It has seven other hotels and resorts in the eastern U.S. including The Madison in Washington, D.C.

Situated on the bluffs of the Potomac River in Loudoun County, The Lansdowne Resort is a AAA Four Diamond resort with a 50,000-square-foot conference center.

Amenities include six food and beverage outlets; an aquatic complex with five pools and a waterslide; three tennis courts; a 12,000-square-foot spa with 13 treatment rooms; and 45 holes of golf designed by Robert Trent Jones and Greg Norman.

Lansdowne had been managed by Benchmark Hospitality International, based in The Woodlands, Texas.

The resort is eight miles from Washington Dulles International Airport and 30 miles from Washington, D.C.
