Bon Secours signs two leases and opens a new health care facility on Nov. 1

Bon Secours Virginia Healthsource Inc. has preleased space in a new project and has taken more than 30,000 square feet in another building, both on Forest Avenue in Henrico County.

The new $16.5 million medical office building is going up in Reynolds Crossing, a mixed-use project.  Bon Secours and Virginia Urology will serve as anchors in the 70,000-square building at 6900 Forest Ave. Cushman and Wakefield | Thalhimer represented Bon Secours, Virginia Urology and Virginia Physicians Inc. in the lease, while CB Richard Ellis (CBRE) represented the developer, Reynolds Development.In the other building at 7229 Forest Ave, CBRE represented Bon Secours in a lease renewal of 32,717 square feet.

The most dramatic example of the health care system’s recent expansion will open Nov. 1.  Bon Secours St. Francis Watkins Centre, located in northwestern Chesterfield County at the intersection of Midlothian Turnpike and Route 288, will offer the area’s first freestanding emergency department.  A second phase opens on Dec. 5, with a diagnostic imaging center, including mammography. When the building opens other facilities in Febuary 2012, it will cover 100,000 square feet.
