New Boston Fund Inc., a private equity real estate investment, development and management firm, has leased 18,333 square feet of Class-A office space to Bohler Engineering VA LLC, a civil and consulting engineering company, at TransDulles Centre in Sterling.
TransDulles Centre is comprised of two buildings totaling 149,763 square feet. Bohler Engineering will occupy about 24 percent of a 75,203-square-foot building, where other major tenants include SRA International, Med-Eval Inc. and Infused Solutions.
Bohler Engineering’s Principal, Adam Volanth, indicated in a statement that the move was timely, allowing Bohler to continue its regional growth as it celebrates the company’s 30th anniversary. Cresa’s Managing Principals Jeffrey Baker and Thomas Birnbach represented Bohler Engineering while Neil Alt, senior vice president at Lincoln Property Co. represented New Boston.
In another development at the centre, New Boston recently completed a 178,234-square-foot, build-to-suit office and manufacturing facility for Rockwell Collins, a leader in communication and aviation electronics solutions. TransDulles Centre is located five minutes north of Washington/Dulles International Airport, and a half a mile from the interchange at VA Route 28, a major north/south highway in the region.
New Boston, based out of Boston, Mass., purchased TransDulles Centre in August 2007. The company’s portfolio includes 23 million square feet of commercial real estate and 7,500 residential units.
