BGB Innovations opens 30,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Colonial Heights

BGB Innovation announces the establishment of its new manufacturing and product support facility in Colonial Heights. The operation, BGB Technology, occupies a 30,000–square-foot facility at 1060 Port Walthall Drive. It will serve as the North American support facility for the company’s line of slip ring components, slip ring assemblies, fiber optic rotary joint and other products used in aquaculture, shipbuilding, and architectural applications.

BGB, based out of Grantham in the United Kingdom, is a supplier to many of the major global wind turbine manufacturers and other industries including wastewater treatment, material handling and construction machinery. “We are very excited about the establishment of this all purpose facility and expanding our capabilities in the North American market in order to further service our wind turbine and industrial customers …  while establishing a North American base for our submersible lighting products and technologies,”  David R. Holt, managing director, BGB Innovation, said in a statement.
