LG Hausys America Inc., the only manufacturer to domestically produce both quartz and acrylic solid surface countertops, recently opened a 38,000-square-foot, build-to-suit warehouse and distribution center in Chester. It was the Atlanta-based company’s 10th servicing warehouse in North America.
The company said in a statement that the facility at 861 Liberty Way will help meet increased customer demand for LG Hausys’ acrylic solid surface products in the company’s mid-Atlantic region and the Carolinas. It picked Chester, because the location provides access to major highways and Richmond International Airport for customers and the logistics team.
“We’re always looking for ways to better serve our customers,” said Donald C. Luther Jr., sales director for LG Hausys. “This new facility allows us to provide a greater range of inventory and shorter lead time for our fabricators, dealers and retailers in the United States.”
LG Hausys began fulfilling orders from the new warehouse in late January.
