Advance Auto Parts Inc. said Thursday it plans to spend $8 million to open a financial services commercial customer care center at its corporate headquarters in Roanoke, creating 75 jobs over the next three years.
The center will handle the entire commercial customer credit experience, including customer data, billing, accounts receivable and collections.
Roanoke-based Advance Auto is a Fortune 500 company that operates 3,645 auto parts stores across the U.S. The company serves both do-it-yourself customers and professional installers.
“Over the last few years, we have invested over $10 million in our Store Support Center in Roanoke in our effort to expand and improve our facilities,” Advance Auto President and CEO Darren Jackson said in a statement. “This new team will be part of our over 1,600-team member base in Roanoke and is an integral part of our goal to grow Advance through service and reflects our longstanding commitment to the growth and development of the Roanoke Valley.”
