MindStreet LLC  is the new Main Street for the principal-based service business (PBSB) sector.  Created to provide world-class expertise that’s scaled for the small business market, MindStreet connects its members with each other and with the larger enterprises that need the experience and services its subscribers can provide.
This new avenue for business offers a marketplace for everything from legal advice to media relations, from competitive intelligence to event management.  It has coined a new word, “PiBSBy”, to describe its PBSB membership, and an acronym to communicate the capabilities of its members to the marketplace:  SPEQK, which represents Skills, Performance, Experience, Qualifications, and Knowledge.
MindStreet offers an online community of experts along with structured provider profiles that enable every level of enterprise to meet just-in-time expertise needs with confidence.  This innovative approach, providing a real-time marketplace for proven advisory, planning,
and business services, is the brainchild of Missy Jaroneski, a former Fortune 100 CIO who launched her advisory practice, ParsonsPoint Consulting, in January 2007.  Jaroneski was confounded by the lack of a practical venue to hang out a “shingle”, and buyer skepticism about the credentials of small service firms.
“The PiBSBy market faces a classic information asymmetry problem that needs to be solved – just like CarMax had to solve the used car credibility problem.  When buyers have an easy path to qualified sellers, everyone wins,” says Jaroneski.
She adds, “PiBSBY firms represent some of the most productive and experienced professionals in the knowledge-worker space.  There had to be a better way to connect this powerful segment of the talent supply chain to those who need it.  Referral networks and online social networking weren’t going to do that.”
In keeping with the spirit of the initiative, MindStreet  has been designed, built, and launched entirely through the teamwork of real PiBSBys.   Aimed at fueling the success of these high-value firms, the MindStreet portal incorporates practical advice and insight from real PiBSBys,  along with centralized access to an array of content relevant to this community.
MindStreet is opening new avenues for business – how can we help you?
