You may never have heard of the Hospital Hospitality House, but chances are someone in your community has stayed with us. 

For 24 years, HHH, a non-profit facility, has provided lodging and non-medical services for families of patients who come to Richmond for advanced medical care  at an area hospital, primarily VCU Medical Center or McGuire Veterans’ Hospital.  Guests include family members who wish to be close to their loved one, as well as pre- and post- surgical patients and out-patients from outside the Richmond area.  Over 140 people typically stay in our facility each night.  The majority are from Virginia, however some are from other states or foreign countries.

HHH suggests a donation of $10 per night from each guest, but never denies lodging to those who cannot afford it.  In addition to 112 private rooms with full baths, the House amenities include fully stocked kitchens where guests prepare meals, laundry, family and television rooms, exercise room, library and chapel.  Guests are welcome to use these facilities to ease the stresses of daily living while they attend to the well-being of their family member.  All types of medical crises are represented by the 6,700 guests we serve annually.
