Charlottesville-based HemoShear LLC has appointed two men to its scientific advisory board. They are Robert Ruffalo, fomer president of research and development for Wyeth Pharmaceuticals, and Kenneth Batchelor, former senior vice president for drug discovery with GlaxoSmithKline. HemoShear develops cell-based surrogate systems that assist in the discovery and development of drugs.
