Gary McCollum has been named senior vice president and general manager of Cox Communications Virginia, a newly created role. He was senior vice president and general manager of Cox’s Southern Virginia operations.

McCollum will be based in Cox’s Hampton Roads office in Chesapeake. However, he will now oversee the company’s operations in Northern Virginia and Roanoke as well as in Hampton Roads.  Cox Virginia, which has 2,800 employees, is the second largest regional operation in Cox Communications.
