Gannett Co. Inc., the publisher of USA Today, has promoted CFO Gracia C. Martore to president and COO.
Martore has been executive vice president and CFO of the company. She will remain CFO until a new one is appointed.
Martore jointed Gannett as assistant treasurer in 1985. She was named vice president, treasury services in 1993 and became treasurer and vice president of investor relations in 1998 and senior vice president in 2001. She became CFO in 2003 and was named executive vice president in 2006.
The company said Martore’s promotion will allow Craig A. Dubow to focus on long-term senior vice president in 2001.
