Arlington-based engineering and design firm, Gibbs & Cox Inc., has chosen Rick Biben as its new chief executive and president.
Biben begins his new role at the naval architecture and marine engineering firm on Aug.16. He succeeds Kevin Moak, who will remain on the board of directors as non-executive chairman.
Before joining Gibbs, Biben served as senior vice president and operations manager of SAIC’s Integrated Systems and Solutions Operations Center. Since 2009, the unit realized $1.2 billion in conract awards, including more than $300 million in new business contracts. Prior to SAIC, Biben ran CSC’s West Coast naval operations. He also has served in senior leadership roles during his nearly 19 years with Northrop Grumman companies.
