Gannett names name senior vice president of labor relations
March 01, 2010 3:35 PMGannett Co. Inc. announced Monday that William A. Behan has been promoted to senior vice president of labor relations.
Behan has worked for Gannett, the McLean-based newspaper publisher of USA Today, since 1990. He joined as a labor relations attorney, holding many positions. Most recently, he was vice president of labor relations. He received his undergraduate degree from Georgetown University and law degree from Seton Hall University Law Center.
Behan will replace Wendell J. Van Lare, who will retire April 30 after 33 years with Gannett.
