Community Films Foundation in Charlottesville has hired Stephen Yowell as its executive director. He will spearhead efforts by the nonprofit to bring filmmaking to more communities. The foundation’s first major project is partnering with Charlottesville-based Paladin Pictures in the production of a feature film. It will be filmed in and around Charlottesville in 2011. Yowell, a Charlottesville native, was the founding headmaster of The Covenant School.
