Datatel Inc. has appointed Barbara Polk as vice president of human resources and administration.
Polk was formerly senior vice president of human resources at XO Communications. She also served as an executive at two nonprofits, Reading is Fundamental and In2Books.
Fairfax-based Datatel provides technology products and services to higher education institutions.
