Hyatt Dulles has promoted Dana Murphy to serve as the director of its new Executive Meeting Center. The grand opening for the center is Oct. 21. Murphy, former director of catering at Hyatt Dulles, will manage the operations, budget and events for the new space, which includes 17,000 square feet of meeting space and 10,000 square feet of prefunction/break space. She started with Hyatt in 1997 and rose through the ranks from assistant executive housekeeping. In 2008, she won an award for Director of Catering of the Year for all of Hyatt’s hotels and resorts.
