Virginia Hospital Center expands services for Kaiser Permanente members

Arlington-based Virginia Hospital Center has expanded its services to include obstetrics for managed health care organization Kaiser Permanente’s members starting Dec. 1.

Kaiser Permanente members have been able to utilize Virginia Hospital Center’s services for three years and will now have access to maternal fetal medicine, labor and delivery, postpartum, nursery, neonatology and pediatric services.

The Virginia Hospital Center’s Women & Infant Health Unit recently underwent a $10 million expansion and now has 50 patient rooms, 16 labor and delivery suites, six triage rooms, three Cesarean birth operating rooms, 16 NICU suites, two nurseries and two nurse stations.
