Virginia Business presented awards to five chief financial officers Thursday night.
The seventh annual Virginia CFO Awards recognized achievements by chief financial officers in nonprofit organizations, private companies and publicly traded companies throughout the state.
The award winners included:
Small nonprofit organization/government agency: Sharyn P. Hunt, CPA, of VHQC in Richmond.
Large nonprofit organization/government agency: J. Craig Vanderland of the Virginia Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control in Richmond.
Small private company: Garet Bosiger of Genesis Products Inc. in Keysville.
Large private company: Terry M. Marshall of The Breeden Co. in Virginia Beach.
Publicly traded company: James A. Squires of Norfolk Southern Corp. in Norfolk.
The recognition program attracted 43 nominations this year. A crowd of about 300 people attended the event at the Jefferson Hotel.
