Virginia Health Information (VHI) has released its report on the efficiency of Virginia’s hospitals, surgical centers and nursing facilities.

The 2010 Industry Report: Virginia Hospital & Nursing Facilities, is an annual report that contains efficiency rankings along with information on health-care providers’ costs, profits and charity care. Hospitals were given a composite efficiency and productivity (CEP) score, which can help businesses and individuals know the value of their health care dollar in different treatment venues.

The data is available for purchase on VHI’s website.

VHI said Riverside Walter Reed, Bon Secours Memorial Regional Medical Center, Winchester Medical Center, Sentara Bayside Hospital, and Sentara Leigh Hospital were among the top 10 hospitals with the highest efficiency rating for the second year in a row.
