Verizon Wireless customers in Harrisonburg will have access to the wireless provider’s 4G Long Term Evolution network starting next week.

On Thursday, Oct. 18, customers who visit or live in areas near Harrisonburg, including the campus of James Madison University, and the communities of Timberville, Broadway, Elkton and Mt. Crawford will have access to the 4G LTE network, Verizon Wireless announced earlier this week.

The Verizon Wireless 4G LTE network is currently available in dozens of other Virginia cities and towns. This new expansion will extend Verizon Wireless’ 4G LTE coverage along Routes 33, 42, 253, 340, 211 and 11.
