Top 20 Virginia companies fall during selloff

Virginia’s 20 largest publicly traded companies weren’t spared by Monday’s blood bath on Wall Street.

All 20 stocks fell during volatile trading that saw the Dow Jones industrial average fall nearly 635 points, or 5.55 percent.

The Dow index finished the day under 11,000 at 10,809.85. The Nasdaq and S&P 500 indexes dropped 6.9 percent and 6.66 percent, respectively.

Price declines among Virginia companies ranged from 2.98 percent at Dollar Tree to 16.98 percent at Genworth Financial.
