The Shops at White Oak Village
September 01, 2008 12:01 AM

Construction is on schedule for the Oct. 13 opening of The Shops at White Oak Village. The $150 million, 900,000-square-foot lifestyle center brings new national retailers to eastern Henrico County, an area that has lagged in retail development.

So far, the center is 89 percent leased. Tenants include big-box retailers Lowe’s and Sam’s Club, a Hyatt Hotel, nine restaurants, a Ukrop’s grocery store and Anna’s Linens, a California retailer making its first appearance in the Richmond market. Despite the slow economy, the developer anticipates support for the center.  “There’s no other major shopping center from here to Williamsburg,” says Brendan Fisher, a development associate with the commercial group of Forest City Enterprises out of Cleveland.
