- September 18, 2009
Richmond-based Thalhimer has opened a commercial real estate office in Lynchburg, its sixth in Virginia. Managing the new office is Norman Moon Jr., a veteran with more than 20 years of experience in the real estate industry.
Moon joins Thalhimer’s Lynchburg brokerage group as a first vice president. He formerly was a senior vice president with Hall Associates in Lynchburg and president of Milton Realty Service Co., which was purchased by Hall Associates earlier this year. Moon specializes in office and industrial sales and leasing.
Also joining the team is George Lupton III. He has nearly 10 years of experience in the Lynchburg market, the fifth largest metropolitan statistical area in Virginia.
Thalhimer, a member of the Cushman & Wakefield Alliance, has been active in Lynchburg’s market, representing national retail clients such as Wal-Mart, CVS Pharmacy and Panera Bread.
Thalhimer also has offices in Richmond, Virginia Beach, Newport News, Fredericksburg and Roanoke. The Lynchburg office boosts the company’s work force to more than 300 statewide, including 101 brokers. “Our growth has been strategic,” Executive Vice President C. Lee Warfield III said in a statement. “We have opened offices in what we determined to be key markets for our business and our clients.”
