In what ways is the field of employee benefits changing?
“During 2012, regulations required plan sponsors to comply with new disclosures to plan participants.  Service providers had to comply with new disclosures to plan sponsors.  Implementation of these regulations required major systems changes for service providers.  Plan sponsors incurred additional expenses in their attempt to comply.  While the goal of full transparency is well-intentioned, the cost and time invested was challenging.  Hopefully, plan sponsors and participants will benefit from this investment for many years.”
