Staunton textile manufacturer to close
May 15, 2008 7:52 AMNorth Carolina textile manufacturer Unifi has decided to shut down its Staunton facility, leaving 145 employees out of work.
Overhead and freight costs were cited as the biggest reasons for closing the plant, according to the Staunton News Leader.
The plant’s operations will be consolidated with Unifi’s Yadkinville, N.C., plant
