Smoking bills put out
February 15, 2008 9:00 AMThe remaining anti-smoking bills were killed by a House of Delegates subcommittee Thursday.
Earlier this month, the subcommittee tabled similar bills that were introduced by other delegates.
The delegates tabled the Senate’s bills, which ranged from prohibiting smoking in many public places to granting localities the option to enact smoking bans. That means they avoided taking a recorded vote on the bills.
The bills had passed the Senate easily.
