Sentara holds an open house Feb. 26 for new hospice facility

The medical facility market continues to be active in Hampton Roads with the opening of a new hospice facility as part of Sentara Village Assisted Living in Virginia Beach.
The $1.8 million, 8,311-square-foot facility off Rosemont Road accepted its first patient on Feb. 17. Sentara Home Care and Hospice Services will run the facility in partnership with Sentara Life Care, which runs the village and nursing center on the site.
According to Dale Gauding, a spokesperson for Sentara Healthcare, this is the first project of its kind, built as a hospice, on the Southside of Hampton Roads. The public is invited to tour the project during an open house on Feb. 26 from 2 to 5 p.m.
